Our mission is to offer assistance and support to those suffering from substance use in their transition toward lifestyles of health and productivity by offering a drug free environment as well as resources to develop the whole person.
We have a number of programs that are offered to the community, often at no cost to those that we serve.

  • The goal of Recreation of Change is to build pathways in recovery supporting youth ages 14 - 24 with life affirming tools to navigate social, emotional, and economic challenges in everyday life. During our 8 week co-hort youth will be able to increase Academic Success, Increase Communication Skills, Engage in Prosocial Behaviors, and Increase Inhibition & Impulse Control.

  • Our focus is providing a safe space for men to talk, share, and connect without judgement. During this group we will establish coping strategies, stress management exercises, and self care all within a mutually uplifting environment.

  • In partnership with MRC and DOCCR this program connects incarcerated individuals to Peer Services prior to release to asses needs and link them to services and resources. These include things such as housing, jobs, mental health services, clothing and other basic needs that will promote the highest level of success upon re-entry into society.

    Ultimately we want to provide them with a sense of belonging within a supportive and understanding community.

  • In partnership with Project Pride for Living we deliver specialized onsite peer services tailored to the unique environments of Collaborative Village and New Foundations.

    At Collaborative Village - our focus is on empowering women battling mental health challenges, providing vital support to stabilize and sustain their living situations. Our peer services are hands-on, engaging with residents to meet their multifaceted needs and forging connections to crucial community resources.

    At New Foundations - our focus is to expand our reach to women navigating both mental health and substance use issues using the approach as that at CV.

  • N/A is support group for those attempting to recover from drugs other than just alcohol. Peers meet regularly to share their experiences and support each other to quit. Remember you are not alone in your journey to recovery.

    We meet on Sundays 10:30am - Noon at our Southside location 3400 East Lake Street, Suite 100, Minneapolis MN 55406.

  • During outreach we visit homeless encampments in the Twin Cities to pass out bottled water, food, clothing, hygiene kits, clean needles, Narcan kits, etc. We also stop by organizations or businesses in the community to hand out Narcan Kits and educate them on how to use them, and provide them with resources, programs, supports that TCRP offers.

  • Since January of 2020, the Twin Cities Recovery Project has been teaching the public how to use Naloxone (Narcan) to reverse an opioid overdose, as well as providing the community with Naloxone kits. All of our in-person training sessions are interactive, and we address any and all questions that the group asks.

  • A partnership with MDH to bring awareness to the targeted marketing and damaging health effects commercial menthol tobacco has on the African American Community, while promoting ending sales of menthol tobacco and creating healthy smoke free environment.

  • Partnership with Minneapolis Fire Department, CORDATA, KOPPI, Your Path, and Motivational Consulting, this program offers 24/7 walk-up service for help with opioid, other substance use, and mental health support at Fire Station 14, located at 2002 Lowry Ave North Minneapolis, MN 55411.

    This initiative is the first of it’s kind in Minnesota and we anticipate upward growth and increased success as we continue to grow.

  • The Ride for Justice Bike Club is an initiative that started in the Summer of 2020 after the death of George Floyd.

    The Ride for Justice Bike Club meets weekly at 10am on Saturday mornings from May to October.

    Before the ride, we have coffee, fellowship, and meditation, and the group departs for the ride at 11 am. TCRP has a few bikes that we are able to lend, but we encourage everyone who has a bike and helmet available to bring their own.
