As we celebrate our community, our history, our culture and our roots we will gather on Saturday, June 18th to celebrate Juneteenth 2022.
Juneteenth commemorates the date in 1865 when news of the emancipation of African American slaves reached Galveston, Texas.
The official name of federal holiday is Juneteenth National Independence Day, also called Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Black Independence Day, and Juneteenth Independence Day.
We will have a host of activities including a Fun Kid’s Zone, Community Health Fair, Black Business Marketplace, FREE Food, Local Artists & Entertainment, Face Painting, Games, Live Music & More!
This event is FREE & open to ALL as we celebrate our freedom, our community and our heritage.
